On December 14th, 2011, SOTRALENTZ bought from its Spanish partner TUBOS REUNIDOS 50% of the parts it previously owned in the joint-venture TR-LENTZ. TR-LENTZ
is specialized in the production of High-Density-Polyethylene-made tanks and is from now-on an integral part of the SOTRALENTZ Group.
Born from a common will between both partners, this purchase allows the company TUBOS REUNIDOS to re-focus on its historical core activity which is the production of non-welded steel tubes. In parallel, it also enables SOTRALENTZ to build-up its production capacities and develop its activities on the Spanish site.
Indeed, the company TR-LENTZ is present on high-development potential markets which extend beyond European boundaries, such as wastewater treatment, water storage solutions, fuel and lubricants storage solutions, etc. Its geographical situation, near Bilbao harbour (which is one of the most important harbours on the Atlantic coast), makes it a strategic choice for the future development of our activities on other continents such as North America and Africa.
After the complete integration of TR-LENTZ into the SOTRALENTZ group, an investment program is planned to develop the production capacities of the company. Not only should present employment be kept, but the rise in the activity should even allow to create about twenty new jobs.
